Purpose of the KEDP Charitable Trust Foundation

Additionally, the trust seeks to deepen its involvement in cultural and educational fields to bridge the urban-rural gap, ensuring that students in various towns across Taiwan have access to sufficient reading and educational resources.
Beyond maintaining and supporting various charitable, educational, medical, and welfare projects initiated by the trustor, the trust also aims to address related social issues at their root, fully embracing the concept of "giving back to society." The main social welfare initiatives promoted by this trust include:

Supporting medical institutions in caring for the elderly, providing emergency assistance, and improving the quality of medical services.
Sponsoring school children in remote areas and indigenous communities, providing opportunities for activities and exchanges.
Supporting educational institutions or libraries to enhance cultural and educational standards in various townships.

Charitable Activities

KEDP donated a blood transport vehicle and organized a blood donation fundraiser, encouraging the public to support rural farmers and underprivileged students in Taiwan through blood donations.

KEDP donated cakes and foundations to the Taipei City Fund for Underprivileged Students during Christmas, spreading love and warmth

KEDP, in collaboration with corporate partners, supported the Ama Museum and held a charity concert to advocate for women's rights.

Motivation for Establishment

Peter Lu, the trust supervisor, is a Certified Public Accountant in Taiwan and China. Throughout his over-20-year career, he has met many industry professionals and esteemed members of society willing to contribute to public welfare and give back to society. They are all willing to exert their utmost efforts to elevate the overall level of Taiwan. Lu deeply understands the current uneven distribution of resources in Taiwanese society and the urgent need for industry professionals to collaborate and support the disadvantaged to improve the overall quality of life and balance resource distribution across all social strata. Therefore, besides serving industrial and commercial enterprises, Lu is also actively involved in public welfare, hoping to use his influence to rally more dedicated industry professionals to work together.

Lu has served as a director of several cultural and charitable foundations, personally participating in the affairs and activity promotions of these foundations.

After several years of involvement in social charitable activities, Lu deeply felt that only by combining the strength of more esteemed members of society could this warm current be perpetuated. Therefore, he hopes to build a transparent and organized platform to allow more like-minded individuals to participate, which is also the reason for the establishment of the KEDP Charitable Trust. As the supervisor of the KEDP Charitable Trust, Lu will undoubtedly uphold his responsibilities and make good use of donations from all sectors to assist groups in need.
